Chocolate Molten Lava Cakes For Two

Serves: 2 | Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 12 min


Ingredients:

  • 1/4 C - Chocolate Chips (pref. semisweet)
  • 2 Tbsp - Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Tbsp - All-Purpose Flour (For gluten-free, 3Tbsp oat or rice flour)
  • 1 Tbsp - Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp - Vanilla extract
  • 1/3 C - Powdered Sugar
  • 1 - Egg
  • 1 pinch - Salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400F
  2. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate and butter. Stir together until smooth.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until combined. Add the chocolate mixture and mix until uniform.
  4. Grease two ramekins and split the batter between them. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes. Do not overbake.
  5. Cool for 1 minute, then turn out onto a plate. Best served with a scoop of ice cream.
